Where to Eat or Order Thanksgiving Meals in North Texas

Thanksgiving Day is Nov. 23. Don't spend the whole day in the kitchen.

When November rolls around, most people either brainstorm recipes for Thanksgiving lunch and dinner, or look for ways to avoid the kitchen entirely. This list is for people who fall in between the two. Dallas-Fort Worth restaurants are offering meals for dine-in or to-go, starting from the turkey (or any other protein of your choice) all the way down to the pie. Be sure to double-check pick-up times if you’re taking things to-go.

Al Biernat’s

The steakhouse is offering a take-home holiday menu that includes various protein options and sides. Choose from turkey, ham, tenderloin, and prime rib, and from two dozen sides, like au gratin potatoes and lobster risotto. The restaurant’s butcher shop also has meats for order, including prime rib, filet mignon, North Dakota buffalo, and seafood. Also for ordering: cocktails to go, desserts, and wines by the bottle. Andrew’s American Pizza Kitchen

Andrew’s American Pizza Kitchen will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. They’re also offering catering options for pickup, which include lasagna, spaghetti Bolognese, and pizzas. Another Round

Asador at the Renaissance Hotel

Bad Chicken

Barrel & Bones

The barbecue restaurant will have smoked meats and take-and-bake sides, including prime brisket, prime rib, honey ham, and pans of mac and cheese and roasted potatoes. Orders must be placed by Nov 17. Multiple locations.

Billy Can Can

What’s on the menu at Billy Can Can? A turducken with sage and sausage stuffing, acorn squash gratin, braised beans, cornbread, and more. Bread Winners Café & Bakery

The cafe is offering various take-home options for Thanksgiving dining. There’s a classic holiday dinner for $28 a person, which includes sliced oven-roasted turkey or sliced cider-glazed ham, cornbread stuffing, leek mashed potatoes, homemade sage turkey gravy, homemade cranberry orange sauce, and rolls. There’s also a whole turkey meal for $168, which includes a whole turkey plus all of the sides included in the classic dinner package (feeds 6 to 8 people). An a la carte menu is available as well. Brooklyn Dumpling Shop

Snag a 25-, 50-, 75- or 100-piece dumpling package with fillings like buffalo chicken, pepperoni pizza, kung pao chicken, and more. Also available are potstickers, lo mein, and rice trays. Order 24 hours in advance and pick up by Nov. 22. 2548 Elm St. 214-764-8009.

Cantina Laredo

Carbone and Carbone Vino

Crossbuck BBQ

They’re shipping smoked turkeys nationwide, and selling all the barbecue classics and holiday sides locally, too. Order by Nov. 2 and you’ll get a free pecan pie. Order by Nov. 17 and pick up any of three days, Nov. 20-22. 4400 Spring Valley Rd., Farmers Branch

Crown Block

Crown Block atop the Reunion Tower will be closed Thanksgiving Day, but through the end of November, they’ll be featuring a pumpkin pie on their fall menu. Available for dine-in only. 300 Reunion Blvd E.

Dakota’s Steakhouse

Enjoy a Thanksgiving brunch with a three-course meal for $75 a person or $37 for kids under 12. The meal includes choices such as wild mushroom risotto, clam chowder, filet mignon, turkey, and more. Dessert includes mini pies like caramelized apple and pear, dark chocolate pecan, and honeynut squash. Reservations can be made online. 600 N. Akard St.

Dive Coastal Cuisine

A Thanksgiving menu is available for pick-up, and it includes mini potato latkes, bruschetta crostinis, an herbed chicken, sides, and two kinds of pie. A regular menu is also available for orders. Place orders at least 24 hours in advance at 214-891-1700, and pick up on Nov. 22. 3404 Rankin St.

Eatzi’s Market & Bakery

Online orders are available Oct. 30 through Nov. 21, and folks can grab all kinds of Thanksgiving favorites, like cornbread stuffing, oven roasted turkey breast, citrus and fennel-crusted ham, and pumpkin desserts. Place orders online for pickup between Nov. 16 through 22. Multiple locations.

Ebb & Flow

Both the Dallas and Plano locations will be open on the day from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Great, they say, for catching the game; great, we say, for avoiding your family. 2651 Commerce St., Ste. 100. 7300 Lone Star Dr., Ste. C125, Plano.

Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge

For brunch and dinner, Ellie’s is serving a three-course pre-fixe Thanksgiving menu with herb bread stuffing en croque, spiced pear cobbler, and a harvest salad made with shaved Brussels sprouts and persimmons. $75 per person. Reservations recommended. 1717 Leonard St.

Evan’s Meat Market

The new butcher shop will have fresh whole turkey, prime rib, and whole beef tenderloin. The shop will also have Thanksgiving sides available, including cornbread dressing, green beans, Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, scalloped potatoes, yams with marshmallows, gravy, cranberry sauce, and biscuits. There will be discounts depending on when you order: Orders made through Oct. 1 will be discounted 10 percent and Nov. 1-10 will be discounted 5 percent. Farmhouse

Skip the trip to the grocery store and order all of the Thanksgiving fixings from Farmhouse. The company has organic produce, meats, and ready-made meals for order on their site. Thanksgiving offerings include spatchcock cowboy chicken, beef tenderloin roast, six different sides, and more. Order online.

Gorji

The intimate Addison destination will be open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of the Thanksgiving weekend for three- or four-course dinners. Holy Grail Pub

Three dine-in seatings on Thanksgiving Day—12 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 5 p.m.—are available with reservations required. You’ll get a four-course menu for $49 ($20 for children under 12) with a $20 drink pairing option (probably not for children). Call 972-377-6633. 8240 Preston Rd., Ste. 150, Plano

Hotel Vin

Thanksgiving brunch will be served at the hotel from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with options like roasted turkey and mashed potatoes, and brunch options such as waffles and omelets. There’s a children’s buffet, a photo station, and other activities for kids. $114 for adults and $54 for kids, not including taxes and feeds. Reservations recommended. 215 E. Dallas Rd., Grapevine.

Knox Bistro

A three-course prix fixe menu will be available for $100 per adult, and a two-course menu will be available for children 12 and under for $40 on Thanksgiving Day. Reservations recommended. 3230 Knox St., Ste. 140.

La Parisienne French Bistro

The bistro’s regular menu will be available Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in addition to a $45 prix fixe menu. It’s four courses and includes two choices for each course, including lobster bisque, wedge salad, a turkey breast or prime rib ($15 upcharge) plate, and a choice between an apple pecan caramel tart or sweet potato pie for dessert. LVI

The bistro at the base of the Statler Hotel in downtown Dallas is hosting a Thanksgiving dinner on Nov. 23 from 4 to 10 p.m. The menu includes butternut squash soup, roasted turkey breast, mashed potatoes, pumpkin cake roll, and more. $50 for adults and $25 for kids 12 and under. Reservations recommended. 1914 Commerce St.  

Lockhart Smokehouse

Bring home a barbecue feast with Lockhart Smokehouse’s to-go packages, which include fully smoked hams, turkeys, brisket, and prime rib. Sides include choices like green bean casserole, smoked cream corn, potato casserole, mac and cheese, bread pudding, and peach cobbler. Meals will be served cold and vacuum sealed with reheating instructions. Order by Nov. 17 for pickup between Nov. 20-22. Luckys Cafe

From Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, a Thanksgiving platter will be available for dine-in customers. The plate includes turkey, dressing, two sides, and cranberry sauce for $18.99. (They’re closed Thanksgiving Day, but, yes, you can order this Thanksgiving plate for two whole months.) To-go items include a whole apple pie and pints of veggies or cranberry sauce. Maguire’s Bistro

Place a takeout Thanksgiving dinner order from this Addison spot by reading the menu and calling 214-238-6351. Or go in person on the day; they’ll serve a three-course meal for $49 ($15 for children 11 and under). Margaret’s

This restaurant in the JW Marriott Dallas Arts District is serving a $98 five-course prix-fixe dinner from 5-10 p.m., and a Thanksgiving lunch for $44 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch is available to go, too. Make reservations online. 800 N. Harwood St.

The Metropolitan Café

Monarch

Monarch will be open Thanksgiving Day from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. In addition to the regular dinner menu, Monarch will offer a specialty Thanksgiving dinner menu for $75 per person. Dinner includes choices like black truffle turkey, sage gravy, pumpkin gnocchetti, confit turkey leg, and more. A $16 pumpkin tiramisu will top off the meal. Nobu Dallas

The restaurant will be open Thanksgiving Day from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for those wanting an alternative to the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The dinner options include favorites like black cod with miso and yellowtail jalapeño. Catering options are available as well. Reservations can be made online, and catering orders can be made here. 400 Crescent Ct. 214-252-7000.

OAK’D BBQ

This barbecue spot is offering its classic barbecue offerings, like brisket, racks of ribs, and a whole smoked turkey, with seasonal sides like cranberry relish. Reheating instructions provided. Omni PGA Frisco Resort

The resort’s very first Thanksgiving feast will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guests can try the build-your-own mac and cheese bar, roasted pumpkin bisque, sage-roasted turkey, and the chai cinnamon rolls for $75 (adults) and $25 (kids 3-12). One90 Smoked Meats

This barbecue spot offers two sizes of turkey along with other classics. (Prime rib!) Order online. 10240 E. Northwest Hwy.

Pecan Lodge

Take-home packages include options like smoked turkey or spiral sliced ham with apricot-molasses glaze, spice-crusted beef tenderloin, whole smoked brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends, and more. There is also a plethora of sides, including whipped sweet potatoes, Mamie’s baked beans, braised collard greens, and mac and cheese, all of which are available in small or family-style portions. Quarter Acre

The take-home packages include a choice of smoked turkey breast with a confit turkey leg or slow-cooked leg of New Zealand lamb, gravy or mint chimichurri, cranberry sauce, and sides of charred carrots with maple gastrique and yogurt, glazed shallots, and pomme dauphinoise. Renny’s

This neighborhood grill in Preston Forest Village has Thanksgiving takeout feasts available, including its signature “green dream pie,” but it will also be open on the day. Three-course meals are $49 for adults and $15 for children (11 and under). Order by the end of day on Nov. 17 and pick up your feast on Nov. 22. 11661 Preston Rd., Ste. 153.

Rye

The Greenville Avenue spot promises “super simple” take-and-bake options with local ingredients. Choose among classics like turkey and green bean casserole, and follow the simple heating or reheating instructions. Pickup locations available in Dallas and McKinney. Online order form. Silver Fox Steakhouse

Sloane’s

The Statler

On Thanksgiving Day, veterans and first responders will receive a complimentary Thanksgiving meal at the Statler. All active first responders, retired vets, medical professionals, and their immediate families can score a free meal from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Reservations required. 1914 Commerce St.

Sushi Marquee

They make two promises. First, they’ll be serving their full menu on Thanksgiving from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. And second, the Cowboys game will be on every TV. 3625 The Star Blvd., Frisco

Take home the Holiday Pitmaster Package, which includes a family-style meal with smoked meats and sides by the gallon. The steakhouse will open for lunch and dinner on Thanksgiving Day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. to serve a Thanksgiving menu that includes spice-rubbed turkey with gravy, cranberry-orange relish, creamed potatoes, and more. A selection of the restaurant’s regular menu will also be available for order. The menu is available for dine-in or curbside pick-up for a meal that feeds four for $160. Reservations recommended. TJ’s Seafood Market

A three-course Thanksgiving meal includes a choice of soup or salad, and a turkey plate with mashed potatoes, stuffing, broccoli-rice casserole, gravy, and cranberry apple compote. Urban Crust

Urban Rio Cantina & Grill

Urban Rio will host a Thanksgiving Cocktail Dinner on Nov. 21 at 6:30 p.m. The dinner will feature four Thanksgiving-inspired courses paired with four cocktails for $70 a person, including tax and gratuity. Reserve a spot online. 1000 14th St. Ste. 100, Plano. 972-422-4466.

Whiskey Cake

The statewide chain is serving a $135 meal kit for 4-6 people (some cooking required) and also selling its notorious namesake whiskey cakes, $35 for a half cake or $68 for a whole cake.
