Margaret Chambers’ fascination with interior design began in childhood as she observed how families curated their spaces. Growing up as one of seven children, she eagerly anticipated the chance to design her own sanctuary at age 17, when her oldest sister moved out. A memorable antique shopping spree with her grandmother helped her furnish her room with character, leading her friends to request redesigns of their own bedrooms. This experience sparked her passion for interior design.
After studying fine arts in New Mexico, Chambers moved to Dallas to pursue interior design. Her career flourished at Sanger Harris and Gabbert’s, ultimately leading to her role at Dallas architect Smith Ekblad, where she was entrusted with their interior design division, giving rise to Chambers Interiors.
She has crafted residential homes for influential clients in Dallas and beyond, including sports executives and Fortune 100 company owners. Her commercial projects have included the SMU Theta sorority house and a Hilton hotel. With more than 30 ASID awards and features in over 25 publications, her work has received significant recognition. Her experience sourcing from design markets around the world inspires her to integrate statement pieces into elegant and livable environments. Chambers’ goal for every client is to help them create their own signature style.
