Led by event chairs Ashlee and Chris Kleinert and TJ Kleinert, the 11th annual Dallas All-Star Chef Classic was held in late October at The Empire Room. The event raised $735,000, besting last year’s total.
Serving as honorary chairs were Beth and David Dike and Taylor Marr, along with honorary chef chairs Chef Kim Canteenwalla and Cole Canteenwalla.
The event welcomed more than 500 guests and showcased the culinary talents of 25 top local chefs, including Dean Fearing of Fearing’s, Troy Gardner of TLC Vegan Cafe, John Kleifgen of Nick & Sam’s, Abraham Salum of Salum Restaurant, and RJ Yoakum of Georgie’s.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the David Elliott Service to Others Award, which was given to Terry Kranz, founder of the Dallas All-Star Chef Classic.
All proceeds directly benefit Dallas 24 Hour Club, supporting its mission to provide safe, sober transitional living for homeless men and women seeking a new start away from alcohol and drugs.
Since its inception, the local nonprofit has served as a resource for those in need, offering not only transitional living but also critical recovery programs and services that empower residents to achieve self-sufficiency.
